Product Description

PPGI is pre-painted galvanised iron, also known as pre-coated steel, coil coated steel, color coated steel etc., typically with a hot dip zinc coated steel substrate.
PPGI refers to factory pre-painted zinc coated steel, where the steel is painted before forming, as opposed to post painting which occurs after forming.
Color coated steel coil, also known as color steel plate in the industry. Color coated steel coils are products made from cold-rolled steel plates and galvanized steel coils as substrates, which undergo surface pre-treatment (degreasing, cleaning, chemical conversion treatment), continuous coating (roller coating method), baking, and cooling. Coated steel plates have lightweight, beautiful and good corrosion resistance, and can be directly processed. They provide a new type of raw material for the construction industry, shipbuilding industry, vehicle manufacturing industry, home appliance industry, electrical industry, etc. They have played a good role in replacing wood with steel, efficient construction, energy conservation, and pollution prevention.
Production process:
The main production processes of the common two coating and two drying continuous color coating unit are:
Uncoiler - Sewing machine - Pressure roller - Tensioning machine - Uncoiling loop - Alkali washing and degreasing - Cleaning - Drying - Passivation - Drying - Initial coating - Initial coating drying - Top coat fine coating - Top coat drying - Air cooling cooling - Winding loop - Winding machine - (Lower coil packaged and stored).
Product Usage:
A color coated steel plate using galvanized steel plate as the substrate, in addition to zinc protection, has an organic coating on the zinc layer that serves as a covering and isolation function, preventing rust on the steel plate. Its service life is longer than that of galvanized steel plate, and it is reported that the service life of coated steel plate is 50% longer than that of galvanized steel plate. However, in different regions and usage areas, the service life of color coated panels with the same amount of galvanizing, same coating, and same coating thickness will vary greatly. For example, in industrial or coastal areas, due to the action of sulfur dioxide gas or salt in the air, the corrosion rate accelerates and the service life is affected. In the rainy season, coatings that are soaked in rainwater for a long time or prone to condensation in areas with large temperature differences between day and night will corrode quickly, and their service life will be reduced. Buildings or factories made of colored coated steel plates often have a longer service life when washed by rainwater. Otherwise, their use may be affected by the effects of sulfur dioxide gas, salt, and dust. Therefore, in design, the greater the inclination of the roof, the less likely it is to accumulate dust and other pollutants, and the longer its service life; For areas or parts that are not frequently washed by rainwater, they should be regularly rinsed with water.
