Product Description

 

An austenitic, non-magnetic, stainless steel 201 has the following composition. It is Chromium (16% - 18%), and Nickel (3.5% - 5.5%). It contains higher amounts of Manganese (5.5%-7.5%) and Nitrogen, and lower amounts of Nickel than type 304 steel.Composition: 201 sheet has a high metal content, a bright exterior with a dark brightness, and is easy to rust. 304 contains more chromium, has a matte finish, and it does not rust. The content is another significant distinction between 201 and 304.Grade 202 is chromium-manganese-nickel stainless steel with high toughness at low temperature. In comparison, grade 202 has less nickel content unlike 304. Hence it offers low corrosion resistance and lower toughness. But it is a less expensive substitution for grade 304 in many applications.
