Steel plate Q245R (0.50-1.10 %) has a lower manganese than steel plate Q345R (1.20 to 1.70 %),So Q245R owns a lower yield strength and tensile strength. Q345 is a low alloy steel material commonly used in motor vehicles, bridges, ships, and construction. Also known as GB/T 1591, the Q signifies the yield point, and the 345 references the strength of yield. As such, it is essential to note that the yield value decreases as the material thickness increases. Difference Between Q345R and Q245R Steel Plate.For example: Obviously Q345R has the advantage on pressure vessel yield strength; while Q245R shows advantage on Calculation of container stiffness, and for Q245R is carbon steel, it has price advantage compared to low alloy steel Q345R.
