Product Description

Aluminum alloy adopts different processing methods according to specific requirements, including hot processing, cold processing, solid solution treatment, aging treatment, annealing treatment, etc.
According to different processing methods, the five major states of aluminum alloy are classified as follows:
F free state.
There are no restrictions on the status of aluminum plates.
H-state work hardening state
Different from the F-state, there is a certain hardness requirement. Some are the same as the F-state. The number following H is the required hardness parameter to be achieved.
The O state is the annealed state.
After heating, cool naturally to soften. The annealing temperature generally needs to reach above 400 ° C.
The T-state is the heat treated state.
The numbers following T represent different states of processing.
The W state is a solid solution heat treatment.
Unstable state.
Additionally, the 1.3.5 series alloy does not have a heat treatment process, and all alloys do not have a T-state.
The mechanical properties of F-state and H112 are not required in the national standard.
Note: Mechanical properties include strength, hardness, yield strength, tensile strength, elongation, and so on.
The meaning of the numbers after the H-state
The first digit after H is 1, which is a pure work hardening state.
The first digit after H is 2, indicating incomplete annealing during work hardening.
The first digit after H is 3, which is a work hardening stabilization treatment.
The first digit after H is 4, which is a work hardening paint treatment.
The second digit after HXX H, the larger the number, the higher the hardness.

The third digit following HXXX H is a special state
HXX1 has the lowest hardness and is not as hard as H11

HXX3 is generally an alloy with a relatively high magnesium (Mg) content (Mg ≥ 4%), such as the 5 series.

 

Grade 6082 is the most common grade of commercial aluminium sections & plates, whilst T6 is the most common temper. Grade 6063 is a medium strength alloy, it is the most common grade of aluminium for extruding. As far as commercial aluminium sections are concerned, T6 is the most common temper available.
