304 stainless steel is austenitic stainless steel, a common material in stainless steel (SUS304 stainless steel is called in Japan, 304 stainless steel is called in the United States, and in China it is called 0Cr18Ni9). It contains 19% chromium, 9% nickel, and a density of 7.93 g/cm3.
2316 stainless steel is austenitic stainless steel, with the addition of molybdenum element on the basis of 304 stainless steel. The average nickel content of 316 stainless steel is 12%, which is higher than the average nickel content of 304 stainless steel, which is 9%, so the price will also be more expensive than 304 stainless steel.
3403 is a ferritic stainless steel, and 403 16Cr, as a representative steel of ferritic steel, has a low thermal expansion rate, excellent formability and oxidation resistance. 304 stainless steel contains about 8% nickel, while 403 does not contain nickel. 304 has better corrosion resistance and toughness than 403, which is a hardenable stainless steel with higher hardness after quenching.
