Product Description

50CrVA is an alloy spring steel material, which is a steel grade used to manufacture springs or other elastic parts. Springs generally work under alternating stress, and the common form of failure is fatigue failure. Therefore, alloy spring steel must have high yield point and yield strength ratio, elastic limit, and fatigue resistance to ensure that the spring has sufficient elastic deformation capacity and can withstand large loads.
50CrVA alloy spring steel has good mechanical and process properties, high hardenability, and the addition of vanadium refines the grain size of the steel, reduces overheating sensitivity, improves strength and toughness, and has high fatigue strength and yield ratio.
This steel has good toughness, high proportion limit, strength limit, fatigue strength, hardenability, and low sensitivity to overheating after heat treatment; When used at a temperature of 300 ºC, the elasticity of the parts can still be maintained. The cutting performance of steel is good, but it has low plasticity and poor weldability during cold deformation.
To ensure that the spring has high strength and sufficient toughness, quenching+medium temperature tempering is usually used. For hot formed springs, hot forming waste heat quenching can be used. For hot cold formed springs, sometimes quenching and medium temperature tempering processes can be omitted. After forming, only 200-300 ºC stress relief annealing is required.
Spring steel is usually subjected to shot peening after heat treatment, with the aim of generating residual compressive stress on the surface of the spring to improve its fatigue strength.
Application examples:
