ASTM A653/A653M-2017 Standard specification for steel sheet, zinc-coated (galvanized) or zinc-iron alloy-coated (galvannealed) by the hot-dip process.DX51D stands for galvanized steel sheet. The first D means flat steel for cold forming. The X means the rolling state is indefinite. 51 is the series number of the steel. The second D means hot dipped galvanized.Grade DX52D is a drawing grade and can be used for drawing, stamping and profiling difficult parts.
