SPHC represents hot-rolled steel plate (corresponding to cold-rolled plate is SPCC), which is equivalent to the hot-rolled plates of 10 # and 15 # steel in the national standard GB699 (National Standard for High Quality Carbon Structural Steel), with a carbon content range of about 0.1-0.15%.

For example, large and medium-sized steel sections and medium thick steel plates can be stored in open-air yards or covered with tarpaulins.
