410 stainless steel is widely used in various industrial applications, including construction, automotive, aerospace, and food and medical industries. Its combination of corrosion resistance, strength, and hardness make it an excellent choice for a wide range of applications.420 stainless steel is a martensitic higher carbon version of types 410 and 416 stainless that can be hardened by heat treatment. It contains a minimum of 12 percent chromium, sufficient to give 420 corrosion resistance properties.431 stainless steel is a martensitic stainless steel that is AOD melted. This alloy has excellent corrosion resistance for a 400 series stainless and can be heat treated to high strength levels. 440A is a high carbon martensitic stainless steel that is AOD melted.
