Baosteel cold rolled dual phase high-strength steel HC820/1180DP has low yield strength ratio and high work hardening performance. HC820/1180DP is one of the preferred materials for structural parts. HC820/1180DP dual phase steel, as the name suggests, refers to a steel grade with two phases, such as IF steel, which is single-phase steel (only ferrite). Dual phase steel is relative to single-phase steel (such as IF steel, HSLA steel) and multiphase steel (CP steel). In theory, a steel composed of two phases can be called a dual phase steel, but currently in the automotive industry, dual phase steel specifically refers to ferrite martensite dual phase steel. The ferrite phase has a soft texture, is continuous, and has good ductility; The martensitic phase has a hard texture and high strength. Dual phase steel combines the "toughness" of martensite with the "flexibility" of ferrite, thus possessing both high strength and good ductility or formability. The International Iron and Steel Association lists dual phase steel as one of the Advanced High Strength (AHSS). At present, duplex steel is the most economical and widely used type of advanced high-strength steel, mainly used for manufacturing parts with high mechanical performance requirements such as structural components, safety components, and anti-collision components. The basic principle of dual phase steel is to heat the steel to a critical temperature and then rapidly cool it to form martensite and ferrite. This process is high-tech, with a tiny difference and a thousand miles of loss, so the performance fluctuation of ultra-high strength steel is generally larger than that of ordinary steel, and it should be used reasonably. Dual phase steel has many advantages, such as higher initial work hardening rate, higher tensile strength, and higher bake hardening properties. Additionally, it does not undergo yield elongation.
