Product Description

A36 is a carbon structural steel. It is steel according to the American ASTM standard.
Equivalent to Q235 in Chinese standards, but cannot be directly replaced by Q235 because of its Mn content and σ S σ B cannot meet the requirements of A36.
If the diameter is less than or equal to 20mm, 20 steel can be used as a substitute; When the diameter is greater than 20mm, 20Mn can be used as a substitute
ASTM 36 is an American standard carbon structural plate, which follows the standard ASTM A36/A36M-03a. This standard is applicable to riveted, bolted, and welded structures used in bridges and buildings, as well as carbon steel sections, plates, and bars of general structural steel quality.
ASTM A36 Chemical Composition
C: ≤ 0.25, Si ≤ 0.40, Mn: ≤ 0.80-1.20, P ≤ 0.04, S: ≤ 0.05, Cu ≥ 0.20 (when copper containing steel is specified).
