Product Description
DP780 is a high-strength automotive steel, which is a dual-phase steel composed of various alloying elements. DP stands for Dual Phase, which means that the structure of the steel is composed of two different phases. 780 means that its minimum yield strength is 780 megapascals (MPa).
DP780 steel has excellent strength and toughness and is suitable for the manufacture of auto parts. Its dual-phase structure gives it high strength and high ductility, which can maintain better deformation ability under impact or twisting force, thus providing better crash safety performance.
The alloying element composition of this steel usually includes carbon (C), silicon (Si), manganese (Mn), phosphorus (P), sulfur (S), chromium (Cr) and vanadium (V). The addition of these alloying elements can improve the strength, hardness and corrosion resistance of steel.
